The Cohesion of Chaos

Writing this is an act of survival. Today, my "office" is a dark basement and a heavy heart, navigating a reality that feels designed to fragment me. Between spending six hours on hold with disability only to face disrespect, to filing motions because of missing child support, the "external" pressure is immense. Yet, even in this, there are victories—like finally securing a 504 for my son through the power of my own research and writing.
In physics, there is a concept of cohesion—the force that holds the universe together so it doesn't just scatter into nothingness. I am reminded that in the Kingdom, everything is similarly cohesive. Colossians 1:17 (AMP) says: "And He Himself existed and is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. [He is the controlling, cohesive force of the universe.]" If the Creator can hold the galaxies in perfect orbit, He can certainly hold me together when the state systems fail. I am learning that the COSMOS SOMATICS founder isn't someone who never feels the weight; it's someone who knows when to lay it down. I am choosing to rest, to pray before every task, and to let my "yoke" be shared with the One who promised it would be easy (Matthew 11:28-30). I share this vulnerability because I refuse to let this stress turn into bitterness within my body. I choose stability. I choose calm. I choose to believe that everything—the stars, the science, and even the struggle—is woven together in a way that is beyond my comprehension, but never beyond His reach.
Reflection: When we feel like we are falling apart, we forget that the same God who knit our DNA together is also the one holding the subatomic particles of the universe in place. Cohesion isn't something we manufacture; it's something we lean into.
Prayer: Father, thank You for being the glue when my world feels like it’s shattering. I give You the DHHS calls, the legal motions, and the physical exhaustion. Help me to rest in Your easy yoke today. Keep my heart soft and my mind stable as I navigate these trenches. Amen.
